AI in Marketing: My 30-Day Experiment from Zero (simple, real, repeatable)

You want proof, not hype.

I had not posted for myself in a year on my Elevate Virtual Assistant Instagram account.

I ran one calm test for 30 days to see what AI could do.

No coding needed.

What is AI in marketing and why did I test it?

  • This month I tested AI in marketing with a simple, faceless Instagram plan.

  • I used AI in marketing to write carousels, schedule posts, and learn from the numbers.

  • My goal was to prove AI in marketing can be calm, repeatable, and real.

I set up the easiest plan I could keep, then posted Monday to Friday at 6 pm.

I am neuro-spicy and I care for my mum, so the plan had to be light.

Instagram: one faceless carousel each weekday at 6 pm.

I made one Reel (from a carousel) and one Story set (from a carousel) the whole month.

Facebook: short, text-only hooks on a coloured background, with a thread in the comments.

Website: I refreshed old blogs so they answer fast and link clearly.

I also built a Social Listening GPT first, so I posted what people actually ask and talk about.

Prompting means giving clear, specific instructions to an AI tool so it can produce better, faster results.
No-code AI tools let you use artificial intelligence without any programming knowledge, often by typing requests in plain English.
ChatGPT for beginners → ChatGPT is a free AI tool that generates text, ideas, and answers in seconds based on what you type. If you can write a sentence, you can use it.

What is my Social Listening GPT, and why did I start with it?

It is a friendly helper that turns real audience talk into posts and replies.

It watches public conversations in my niche.

It spots pains, common questions, and new terms.

It sends a short daily brief with 5 post ideas in the audience’s own words.

It gives 3 reply starters for comments and DMs.It lists fresh phrases once a week so I stay current.

It does not scrape private data.

Starting here kept topics human, clear, and low effort.

What results did I see in 30 days?

Small, honest wins from a cold start - and a system I can repeat.

Instagram reached 1,010 accounts.

Views were 3,540.

New followers were 18.

Website clicks were 5.

Carousels did well, but my one Reel and one Story set punched above their weight, so I will add more.

My website moved off zero AI visibility after I cleaned key blogs, and I saw first citations start to appear.

AI Visibility Overview screenshot: ChatGPT visibility score 10%, 20/20 questions processed; tabs show Gemini 20% and Perplexity 20%

How did I create and schedule content so fast?

I wrote in ChatGPT, built carousels in Gamma, and queued everything in Metricool.

ChatGPT mapped each post.

Gamma turned the words into beautiful, clean, branded faceless slides.

Metricool scheduled every weekday at 6 pm.

I made the Reel by re-using carousel slides and adding a trending audio.

On Facebook, I used Threadmaster AI to draft a bold hook and a tidy comment thread, with a gentle CTA on the last comment.

Next month I’ll scale AI in marketing with more Reels and my Social Listening GPT.

How can you copy this in an afternoon?

Batch once, post steady, and track one number per week.

  1. Pick one theme your ideal client cares about.

  2. Ask ChatGPT for 20 carousel scripts in short lines.

  3. Build faceless carousels in Gamma with one simple template.

  4. Turn your best carousel into one 15–30s Reel (use a safe, trending audio).

  5. Turn the same carousel into one Story set.

  6. Schedule Mon–Fri at 6 pm in Metricool.

  7. On Facebook, post a text-only hook on a coloured background; add a short comment thread.

  8. Refresh one old blog: make headings questions, add bold one-line answers, add a tiny FAQ.

  9. Each Friday, record saves, reach, and link clicks. Keep winners. Cut losers.

Why does this help busy founders and clients?

AI lowers effort, raises consistency, and gives clean data to act on.

  • You publish more with less stress.

  • You reach new people with simple teaching.

  • You get clicks, not just likes.

  • You tidy old posts and build trust.

  • You show time saved and clear ROI.

Remember: Rome wasn't built in a day. The best piece of advice I can give you is: START. and then keep going!

FAQ

Do I need to show my face to start? No. A faceless start worked for me and kept the workload low.

What should I post first? Post one carousel that answers one clear question your buyer asks.

Is my website part of this plan? Yes. Social brings attention, and your website turns that into action.

How do I keep AI on brand and accurate? Give examples, tone notes, and banned words in your prompt, then always review.
